Maybe it worked this time

My last photo outing was to a great local festa in Introdacqua - the nearest village to Bugnara, but one I've never explored fully.  It poured, which made the photos poor, but the day was still fun.

I haven't been blogging much recently because I've been hijacked by lots of work and the flu!  But it's time for a quick update...
After struggling through the Work Visa (Family Stream) forms, and finding someone to witness Ross' signature (twice actually, as we put the signature in the wrong place on the first one), we got the forms sent off to Rome.  The reformed dragon who works there sent quite a nice email (well, normal for you and me, but it must have been tough for her) to say she'd received what she needed.
So we should officially be in processing now.  I've asked for two years of the right to work in NZ, and if I want I can apply for residency before the end of that period.
Given all the delays, I've promised my boss that we won't leave until after 31st January.  It's a shame because Ross will miss his parents' Christmas visit to NZ, unless he goes first without me.
My boss tried hard to convince me to finish the school year.  She made a lot of good points, like make sure Ross is happy to be back before we sell our car and rent our house, etc., and make sure one of the two of us has a secure job at a time.  But in the end, I want to start our new adventure together.  I already feel a bit weird about it being Ross' country and friends, and I would feel even more isolated from it all if he had a five month head start.  Besides, I don't think it's a good time for us to be apart.
